About Us
Premium men’s grooming, built on barbershop roots and real mental health impact.
Our Story
I founded Kick The Stigma to be a catalyst for change when it comes to men's mental health. It all started when I launched Raisa's Barbers, an award winning barbershop, in 2022, which is another story as I'm not even a barber! We had one mission and that was to create a psychological safe space for anyone in the community, no matter your background, faith, race or gender.
We were intentional and vocal about what we were trying to achieve - I also thought it was boring to just open 'another barbers'. Was it easy? No - but it felt true to who we are and who we wanted to be for others. The gratification always came from 5* reviews.
What I have come to learn over time is barbers don't simply 'just cut hair'. For men in particular their barber is their confidante, their friend, someone who they trust, someone who builds their confidence, someone who listens. Combining all these traits takes a special individual.
I saw first hand what a barber can do for a someone's mental health. That proud feeling of knowing you have made someone leave feeling better than when they came in is hard to capture.
That's when we decided to go the extra mile. After engaging with the community, we created an annual charity 5-a-side football tournament called Kick The Stigma for our local MIND and have raised over £4,000 so far.
Then we were featured on BBC News and BBC Radio, as we pioneered the TrimTalks campaign led by Westminster Council, where barbers became trained mental health first aiders.
But whilst we were helping customers one at a time in the chair, and they probably visited that chair once or twice a month, I felt we needed to plug the gap. We needed something that could support men daily, in between their haircuts. That's when the idea to launch the Kick The Stigma product range started.
This matters right now - men's mental health matters right now. And we can do something about it.
This is why for every sale, 5% (and up to 25% on bundles) goes to selected mental health charities - because profit can be implicated by too many factors and that is not my promise to you.
For every product you buy you are making a positive difference that is my promise.
Our Purpose
To help men look and feel their best.
Every product is created with expert barbers
Every purchase supports men’s mental health.
Every customer becomes part of the movement.
To tackle mental health sometimes it is not about the deep conversations, it is about the small, daily words of encouragement that give you the boost to start your day with your head held high. Trust is everything and we know trust is built on making sure you look your best to feel your best.
From a Moment to a Movement
Raisa’s Barbers proved that barbershops can be a frontline for men’s mental health. Kick The Stigma takes that ethos beyond four walls — into bathrooms, gyms, offices and living rooms across the UK and beyond.

Every product is a reminder: you matter and your mental health matters too.
